A Founder's Note

I run these streets
carrying the American flag.

A recruiter offered me the lead chair on a $70M enterprise Salesforce migration. I sent back a calendar link and a Top Gun anthem. Allow me to explain — professionally.

The Offer

A delivery lead reaches out. Lead Salesforce Engineer. A major South Florida enterprise. A $70M+ legacy platform migration, mid-flight, being restructured after a third-party implementation hit turbulence.

Architecture, AI strategy, and enterprise leadership — presenting to Enterprise Architecture and the Office of the CTO. Two or three days a week on campus. A highly visible initiative. A strong leadership team.

“Would love to find some time to connect as soon as possible.”

The Reply
“Cloudnimbusllc.com — I run these streets carrying the American flag.”

Signature. Calendar link. A remastered cut of the Top Gun Anthem. No counter-offer. No “let me think about it.”

Not because the role isn't real. Because I already took the harder one.

Why I Respectfully Declined

I am already the principal

The offer was to lead an AI-first development strategy inside someone else's program. I run one. Cloud Nimbus LLC ships Salesforce-native product every day — Delivery Hub, Nimbus Gantt, and the forecasting engine underneath them.

Conviction is the asset

A $70M migration in turbulence does not need another contractor optimizing for the chair. It needs an owner who is already accountable to outcomes. I have chosen to be that owner for my own platform first.

I build where the work happens

Two to three days on campus presenting to the Office of the CTO is a fine life. Mine is shipping the tool that makes those presentations unnecessary — clarity that lives in the system, not the slide deck.

The flag is not a bit

It reads as a punchline. It is actually a thesis: independence, conviction, and standing for something specific. That is the posture I bring to every engagement — and exactly the energy a serious client is hiring.

Founder & Principal Engineer, Cloud Nimbus LLC

Purdue IE + MBA. 10+ years building on Salesforce. I turned down the lead chair on a nine-figure migration to keep building the platform that makes nine-figure migrations behave. If you want that conviction pointed at your org, the calendar link is below — same one the recruiter got.

The recruiter wanted a lead.
I already answered to a higher one: the work.

Cloud Nimbus LLC — Salesforce-native product, shipped daily.
