Portal Guide
The Cloud Nimbus portal gives your team full visibility into work items, progress, and activity — without needing a Salesforce license. Submit requests, track progress, and collaborate from any browser.
1. Sign In
Visit cloudnimbusllc.com/portal/login and choose one of three sign-in methods:
Magic Link
Enter your email. Click the link sent to your inbox. No password needed.
Passkey
Use fingerprint or Face ID for instant sign-in. Set up after your first login.
Password
Traditional email and password login, if your admin has set one up for you.
2. Your Dashboard
After signing in, you land on your dashboard. Here's what you'll see:
- 1Organization Selector — If you belong to multiple organizations, switch between them from the dropdown at the top.
- 2Work Item Summary — Counts of active, completed, and attention-needed items at a glance.
- 3Recent Activity — A live feed of the latest changes — stage transitions, comments, new items.
- 4Favorites — Pin important work items for quick access by clicking the heart icon.
3. Submit a Request
Need something built, fixed, or changed? Submit a request directly from the portal. Click Submit Request in the navigation or go to /portal/submit.
Choose a Template (Optional)
Templates pre-fill the form so you can submit faster:
| Field | What to Enter |
|---|---|
| Title | A short summary of what you need (e.g., "Add export button to reports") |
| Description | Details, context, or steps to reproduce. The more you include, the faster the turnaround. |
| Priority | Low, Medium, High, or Critical. Use Critical sparingly — it pages people. |
| Type | Feature Request, Bug, Enhancement, or Question |
After submitting, you'll get a confirmation with your work item ID. The item shows up on your dashboard immediately and syncs to Salesforce within 60 seconds.
4. Track Progress
The portal gives you multiple ways to follow your work:
Board View
Kanban board with columns for each stage: Planning, In Progress, Testing, Done. See everything at a glance.
Activity Feed
Real-time stream of every change — comments, stage transitions, priority updates, new items.
Timeline
Chronological view of work items and milestones. Great for status meetings.
Metrics
Charts and analytics showing velocity, completion rates, and team throughput.
Click any work item to open its detail page, where you can view the full description, leave comments, see the activity history, and download attached files.
5. Set Up Your Team
Want your team to have portal access? Here's what your Salesforce admin needs to do:
- 1
Create Portal Access records in Salesforce
In the Delivery Hub app, go to Portal Access and create a record for each team member's email address. Set their role to Viewer or Admin.
- 2
Share the portal URL
Send your team the link: cloudnimbusllc.com/portal/login. They enter their work email and click the magic link to get in.
- 3
Set up passkeys (optional)
After their first login, team members see a banner to set up quick login with fingerprint or Face ID. One-time setup, instant access after that.
6. What Happens Behind the Scenes
When you submit a request through the portal, here's the flow:
You submit
The request hits the Cloud Nimbus API and creates a WorkItem in the Dev Hub Salesforce org.
Sync engine runs
Every 15 minutes, the Delivery Hub sync engine picks up new and changed items and pushes them to connected orgs.
Your vendor sees it
The work item appears in your vendor's Salesforce org (if connected). They triage, prioritize, and start working.
Updates flow back
As the vendor updates the stage, adds comments, or logs hours, those changes sync back to your portal in real time.
You stay informed
Check your dashboard, board, or activity feed anytime. No emails to chase, no status meetings needed.
Ready to try it?
If you have portal access, sign in now. If you want to explore first, try the interactive demo — no login required.
